I am an avid web surfer with a pretty good knowledge of the landscape, vast though it as. As a service to you, my friends and visitors, I have listed here some of my favorite sites with brief explanations. If there is a bad link in here somewhere, please let me know.
Google - (Search Engine) Come on.... it's already a verb. If this is your first day on the Internet, Google is the best search engine ever. I'm still shocked at how fast and accurate it is.
Snopes - (Urban Legends) Instead of sending me that email that blows the lid off of KFCs dirty ploy to replace chickens with genetic freaks, or that new Internet taxation bill, please, PLEASE use this site to check the veracity of the story.
BibleOnTheWeb (The Bible) Great way to read some scripture, or just look something up real quickly.
National Review Online(Conservative Opinion) Though provoking conservative opinions for the open-minded.
Drudge Report (News) If you feel compelled to stay informed, Matt Drudge has written and compiled quite a bit of dynamic content.
Hot or Not? (Rate Pictures of People) For some reason this site is more addictive than hard drugs. See a picture, rate a picture. Repeat.
All Music (Music Reference) Anything you ever wanted to know about recorded music, musicians, styles, albums, songs, etc. It's an indispensable reference.
Poker Room (Online Poker) I don't play for real money, but it's still a lot of fun to win a showdown at no-limit Texas holdem.
True Stella Awards (Frivolous Lawsuits) Want to know what's wrong with this country? Subscribe to this newsletter. Also, check out Randy's other fine newsletter, This Is True.
Lockergnome (Computer Newsletters) Always something interesting for me in at least one of these publications each day.
